🛑The head of the Media and Communications Authority, Dr. Nofal Aburgev, received at the headquarters of the Authority in Baghdad, the head of the Iraq Center for Strategic Affairs, Dr.Salah Bushi, accompanied by a number of members of the center's management, in a meeting devoted to discussing cooperation frameworks in the fields of communication studies and legislation governing media work. During the meeting, they reviewed ways of cooperation in preparing strategic studies specialized in the media and communications file, employing research expertise to support decision makers and developing professional organization tools in light of the rapid transformations in the digital environment. The two sides also discussed the most prominent geopolitical challenges and their effects on the national media discourse, and the importance of establishing a strategic discourse according to in-depth analyses of the regional and international realities, in a way that enhances the immunity of the Iraqi media space. The two parties stressed the need to organize workshops and analytical studies that contribute to reviewing legislation and amending regulations, in line with technical developments.
